Passover Supper

You are invited to join in the Cathedral's celebration of the Passover as we follow in the footsteps of Jesus and his disciples as they celebrated the Last Supper.

Date: Monday 30 March 2026

Time: 18:00 for 18:30

Price: R180 per person (including supper and wine/grape juice)

Reservations: WhatsApp Jessica at 0795265729 before noon on 27 March.

The service is based on the Seder as formalised by priests in Jerusalem in AD 70, which would be very similar to what Jesus celebrated with his disciples the night he was betrayed. The service, put together by David Lloyd-Jones, includes a commentary explaining the Christian significance of each aspect of the meal, showing how Jesus was the fulfilment of the prophecy as the true Passover Lamb. As one attendee said in 2025, it was an evening which gave a "visceral" understanding of the Last Supper.
